قال الكاتب البريطاني بن وايت إنه على عكس أعمال العنف ورمي الحجارة فإن المقاومة الفلسطينية السلمية أو غير المسلحة تثير ابتهاج وسائل الإعلام والسياسيين الغربيين، ولكن الغرب وإعلامه لا يحث الإسرائيليين على اتباع نفس الشكل من أسلوب المقاومة وردة الفعل.
