في تصريحات للجزيرة أشاد سراج الدين حقاني أحدُ قادة طالبان الرئيسيين، بتعاون القبائل الباكستانية والأفغانية في جانبي الحدود مع حركته ودعمها لها. لكنه اتهم الحكومة الباكستانية بالانجرار وراء الغرب في معاداتها لطالبان، مضيفا أن وضع من سماهم المجاهدين في تحسن مستمر.
