وافق مجلس الأمن على نشر قوات إضافية ضمن بعثة حفظ السلام في هايتي قوامها 3500 جندي لتعزيز الأمن وتقديم المساعدة في عمليات الإغاثة لضحايا الزلزال المدمر الذي ضرب الجزيرة قبل أسبوع. يأتي هذا بينما تتواصل عمليات الإنقاذ وسط تحذيرات من انتشار الأوبئة.
