توصل علماء إلى أن التوتر اليومي هو أحد أسباب نمو الأورام الخبيثة، ووجدوا أن أي نوع من الصدمات، عاطفية أو بدنية، يمكن أن تكون بمثابة طريق بين الطفرات السرطانية بحيث تجمع بينها في مزيج قد يكون مميتا.
