دعا الرئيس الفرنسي لعقد مؤتمر دولي للمانحين لمساعدة هايتي على التعافي من آثار الزلزال المدمر الذي ضرب الجزيرة مساء الثلاثاء. وأثار تأخر المساعدات غضب السكان، في حين أظهرت أرقام حكومية أن 40 إلى 50 ألفا قتلوا وثلاثة ملايين تأثروا بالزلزال.
