تحتفل قطر باليوم الوطني الذي يصادف 18 ديسمبر/كانون الأول من كل عام، وذلك إحياء لذكرى مؤسس الدولة الشيخ جاسم بن محمد بن ثاني أول حاكم للبلاد. وتبدأ اليوم بكورنيش الدوحة عروض عسكرية برية وجوية وبحرية.
