تباينت قراءة الحقوقيين لوضعية حقوق الإنسان في الجزائر، رغم اتفاق الجهات المعنية على انتشار قضايا الرشوة والفساد وكثرة الشكاوى الخاصة بالمتطلبات الأساسية، مثل السكن وارتفاع نسبة العنف ضد المرأة وما يتصل بمسألة تشكيل أحزاب سياسية جديدة.
