تشهد تجارة السلاح بالعراق انتعاشا كبيرا لم تحد منه نقاط التفتيش الكثيرة التي تنتشر بشوارع بغداد والمدن العراقية. وتعيش الكثير من أحياء بغداد ومناطق أخرى تحت هاجس الخوف من العصابات والمليشيات مما دفع الناس لاقتناء أسلحة شخصية للحماية.
