دعت إسبانيا إلى التحلي بالحيطة والتكتم باعتبارهما الطريقة المثلى لحل مشكلة مواطنيها الثلاثة المختطفين بموريتانيا والحفاظ على سلامتهم. وقال وزير الخارجية ميغيل إنخيل موراتينوس في مؤتمر صحفي إن مدريد ليست ملزمة بالرد على كل الأنباء والشائعات التي ترد من حين لآخر عن مصيرهم.
