أعلن السودان يوم الأحد تأجيل الانتخابات ستة أيام لإتاحة الوقت لتسجيل ملايين الناخبين. وقالت لجنة الانتخابات العامة إنها مددت فترة تسجيل الناخبين في شتى أنحاء البلاد إلى 7 ديسمبر/كانون الأول بسبب تأخر البدء فيها ببعض المناطق ومطالبة بعض الأحزاب بتمديدها.
