أعلنت الولايات المتحدة موافقتها على إجراء محادثات مباشرة مع كوريا الشمالية لإقناعها بالعودة إلى المحادثات السداسية ذات الصلة ببرنامجها النووي وسط مؤشرات بأن تكون المحادثات مقدمة لتغير ملموس في الموقف الكوري الشمالي.
