سلم عمدة مرسيليا يوم الجمعة بشكل رمزي تصريح البناء الخاص بمشروع أكبر مسجد في أوروبا يتسع لنحو سبعة آلاف مصل بكلفة 22 مليون يورو. ومن المقرر أن يقام صحن المسجد على مساحة 2500 متر مربع بالاضافة إلى مئذنة طولها 25 مترا.
