دعت الجمعية العامة بأغلبية كبيرة واشنطن لرفع حصارها المفروض على كوبا منذ 47 عاما، لكن السفيرة الأميركية الأممية قالت إن على هافانا الرد أولا على عرض أميركي لتحسين العلاقات. ولم يعترض على القرار غير الملزم إلا بلدان.
