أفادت دراسة للأمم المتحدة بأن مرض الإسهال يودي بحياة نحو 1.5 مليون طفل سنويا، رغم إمكانية علاجه بوسائل بسيطة ورخيصة، في حين تطلق الأمم المتحدة اليوم الخميس "اليوم العالمي لغسل اليدين".
