افتتح مهرجان أفلام بيروت الدولي بحضور المخرج الأميركي فرانسيس فورد كوبولا الذي عرض له فيلم "تيترو". ويستضيف المهرجان الذي يمتد إلى 14 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول المخرج العالمي التايواني الأصل أنج لي الذي يحضر الحفل الختامي بعرض فيلم جديد له.
