عاد المبعوث الأميركي إلى الشرق الأوسط جورج ميتشل إلى بلاده دون التوصل إلى اتفاق مع إسرائيل حول وقف الاستيطان سعيا لاستئناف مفاوضاتها مع الفلسطينيين. واستبعد متحدث باسم الخارجية الأميركية عقد لقاء ثلاثي بين عباس ونتنياهو وأوباما الأسبوع المقبل.
