جدد جوزيف بايدن نائب الرئيس الأميركي التزام بلاده بالانسحاب من العراق بحلول عام 2012، وأكد ثقته بأن الوضع الأمني في العراق لا يتجه نحو جولة جديدة من العنف الطائفي. ميدانيا أفرجت السلطات العراقية عن ثلاثة يشتبه بضلوعهم بقصف المنطقة الخضراء.
