أقر وزير الدفاع البريطاني بأن قوات بلاده لا تزال بعيدة تماما عن هزيمة حركة طالبان في أفغانستان التي وصفها بالعدو المراوغ، من جانبه قال رئيس الأركان المشتركة للقوات الأميركية الأميرال مايك مولن إن مواجهة طالبان ستتطلب إرسال قوات إضافية.
