نفى الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم أن يكون أعرب عن استعداده لاستضافة مباريات كأس العالم في 2018 أو 2022 رغم اعلان الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم "الفيفا" أن مصر تقدمت بهذا العرض.
