أعلنت لجنة الانتخابات بموريتانيا في وقت مبكر اليوم الاثنين فوز الرئيس المنتهية ولايته محمد ولد الغزواني بفترة رئاسية ثانية بعد حصوله على 56.12% من الأصوات، في حين رفض منافسه بيرام الداه اعبيد النتائج.
