هناك إجماع من القيادات الإسرائيلية على أن تصريحات بن غفير تمس بالعلاقات مع الإدارة الأميركية، وتضر بإستراتيجيات إسرائيل وأمنها القومي، بينما لم تحظَ دعوته للتهجير الطوعي إلا بانتقادات خجولة.
