تتباين التحليلات بين من يجد أن رد حزب الله يعكس تكتيكا مدروسا في إدارة الحرب ضمن قواعد اشتباك موسعة ومتغيرة ومشروطة بالتصعيد المضبوط، وبين من يراه لا يرقى لمستوى عملية الاغتيال في الضاحية الجنوبية.
