قال رئيس مجلس القضاء الأعلى السعودي الشيخ صالح اللحيدان إن فتواه السابقة بقتل اصحاب القنوات الفضائية التي تبث برامج "تحث على الفتنة والفساد والسحر والشعوذة" كان يعني بها أن يتم مثل هذا التدبير عبر القضاء.
