عبرت السلطات الصينية عن ثقتها بأن الرياضيين والمشاهدين سيكونون بأمان تام وذلك قبل ايام فقط من انطلاق اولمبياد بكين، وبعد هجوم اودى بحياة 16 شرطيا في زينجيانج.
