كشفت دراسة علمية حديثة آليات التحكم الجيني التي تمكن النباتات من ضبط عمليات امتصاص ثاني أكسيد الكربون من الجو، في مقابل تبخر الماء في أوقات الجفاف عبر التحكم بالثغور.
