قال رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة الأميركية إن بلاده ستشكل تحالفا لحماية الملاحة قبالة إيران واليمن، وصرح رئيس الوزراء العراقي بأن بلاده ستمد أنبوبا لتصدير نفطها تحسبا لتعطل الملاحة بمضيق هرمز.
