كشفت شركة روسية الستار عن نموذج من الجيل الخامس من بندقية/ الكلاش-نيكوف/ الأوتوماتكية. وقد قال المصممون إن الجيل الجديد يحمل جميع مميزات النماذج التقليدية، بالإضافة إلى بعض الخصائص الجديدة. يأتي هذا الإعلان في وقت تشهد فيه تجارة الأسلحة الروسية والعالمية ركودا بسبب تعاقب الأزمات الاقتصادية وانتشار الفساد.
