لقي 15 من عناصر تنظيم "القاعدة في جزيرة العرب" مصرعهم بثلاث غارات جوية شنتها طائرات أميركية يعتقد أنها بدون طيار على منطقة في محافظة أبين، بجنوب اليمن. وثلاثة أو أربعة من هؤلاء القتلى من قيادات القاعدة حسبما ذكرته تقارير يمنية.
