لا نستطيع أن نحمل مسابقة الطيب صالح للرواية التي بدأت في 2003 هذا الطوفان النوعي والكمي في الرواية بالسودان، ولو أن من تقدموا إليها برواياتهم سنويا طمعا في الجائزة أو حبا في أن يتم اكتشافهم كروائيين بلغ حتى الدورة العاشرة 160 كاتبا وكاتبة.
