هاجم حزب الاتحاد من أجل الجمهورية الحاكم بموريتانيا بشدة وكالة أنباء الأخبار المستقلة الإلكترونية الأكثر انتشار بموريتانيا، ووكالة نواكشوط للأنياء التابعة لمؤسسة أخبار نواكشوط -إحدى أقدم المؤسسات الصحفية في البلاد- في حين قال تجمع الصحفيين الموريتانيين إنه يدين بيان الحزب "غير المسؤول".
