اعتبر الرئيس اليمني علي عبد الله صالح أن المطالب التي رفعها المشاركون في "مسيرة الحياة" بعدم منحه الحصانة "خرقا واضحا للمبادرة الخليجية" بينما أعلن وزير الداخلية عن تكليف الحكومة لوزيري الدفاع والداخلية للتحقيق في الهجوم الذي استهدف المسيرة.
