تلاحق الاعلام العربي اسئلة كثيرة بشأن المهنية والمصداقية في تغطية الثورات والحركات الاحتجاجية التي تشهدها بعض الدول العربية. وقد حاول المشاركون في /ملتقى المدافعين عن حرية الاعلام/ الذي عقد في العاصمة الاردنية الاجابة عن اسئلة الشارع العربي والنخب السياسية حول دور وسائل الاعلام في صناعة الثورات أو اللحاق بها.
