يواجه المنتخب المصري نظيره المغربي في الدور نصف النهائي من النسخة الأولى لبطولة افريقيا لمن هم دون 23 عاما التي يحتضنها المغرب والمؤهلة لأولمبياد لندن 2012، وذلك بعد أن تصدر مجموعته الثانية بفوزه على جنوب أفريقيا 2-صفر مساء السبت في الجولة الأخيرة.
