يعتبر الشيخ علي أحمد ملا شيخ مؤذني الحرم المكي الشريف، إذ بدا اعتلاء مآذن المسجد الحرام وهو في الرابعة عشرة من عمره، الآن وبعد مرور أكثر من نصف قرن لا يزال الشيخ يواصل مهمته في الحرم لكن جنبا إلى جنب مع هواياته القديمة .. حجي جابر يعرض يوما في حياة شيخ المؤذنين في المسجد الحرام.
