قدّم تخفيض التصنيف الائتماني للاقتصاد الإيطالي، الذي أُعلن أخيرا، قدّم مبررات إضافية للكثير من الإيطاليين للمطالبة باستقالة رئيس الحكومة سلفيو برلسكوني. لكن الضغط علي برلسكوني للاستقالة لم يأت فقط من المعارضة بل جاء ايضا من داخل معسكره السياسي.
