في لبنان نظم ما يعرف باللقاء العلمائي اعتصاما حاشدا في مدينة طرابلس شمال البلاد تضامنا مع الشعب السوري. وقد تواصلت ردود الفعل على التوغل السوري في منطقة عرسال قرب الحدود بين البلدين . ففي حين دعت قوى الرابع عشر من آذار حكومة نجيب ميقاتي الى تحمل مسؤولياتها تجاه ما يجري من انتهاكات للسيادة اللبنانية ,أعربت قوى الثامن من آذار عن املها في ان يشمل الحرص على السيادة الانتهاكات الاسرائيلية المستمرة ضد لبنان .
