صرحت المستشارة الألمانية أنها ستدعم أي مخطط أوروبي موسع لإعادة رسملة البنوك إذا كانت هذه العملية ضرورية لتفادي انتشار عدوى أزمة الديون، فيما قدر مسؤول بصندوق النقد أن العملية تحتاج بين 133 و266 مليار دولار وسط مخاوف من أزمة مصرفية.
