قال ناشطون سوريون إن عشرات الدبابات تدعمها مروحيات اقتحمت بلدة الرستن صباح الثلاثاء، عقب إطلاق النار من رشاشات ثقيلة عليها وقتال مع منشقين من الجيش. يأتي ذلك بعد يوم قتل فيه 15 شخصا، بينهم أكاديميان بارزان معروفان بمعارضة النظام.
