تحت شعار /التصوف منهج أصيل للإصلاح/ افتتح فى القاهرة المؤتمر الدولى للتصوف بمشاركة نحو مئة وعشرين عالما ً يمثلون أربعين دولة عربية وإسلامية. وشدد المشاركون على أهمية صياغة وجدان الفرد وتشكيل وعيه على أسس سليمة حتى يتمكن من بناء مستقبل الأمة.وجدد المؤتمر الجدل بشأن دور المتصوفة فى الحياة السياسية فى ظل ما بات يعرف بربيع الثورات العربية.
