شككت القوى الغربية في رسالة إيران الأخيرة وعرضها استئناف المحادثات والتعاون بخصوص برنامجها النووي المثير للجدل لكنها قالت إنها تبحث الرد عليها. واعتبرت الولايات المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي أن الرسالة لم تتضمن أي شيء يبدد المخاوف الدولية إزاء الأنشطة الإيرانية.
