صدرت دولة جنوب السودان أول شحنة نفطية منذ انفصالها عن السودان، وتم الشحن عبر ميناء بورتسودان السوداني، ويأتي ذلك بالرغم من عدم التوصل إلى اتفاق مع الخرطوم حول تقاسم العائدات النفطية. الخرطوم من جهتها طالبت ببدء االتفاوض حول تقاسم عائدات النفط.
