كتب سيمون تيسدال في مستهل مقاله بصحيفة غارديان أن ثورات الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا كانت لها عواقب غير متوقعة للدول الثورية. وقال إن نتائج الثورات ليست جيدة ولا نقية مطلقا.
