قال مسؤول أميركي إن الولايات المتحدة ترفض مطالب من مسؤولين باكستانيين بأن يغادر العسكريون الأميركيون قاعدة شمسي العسكرية التي تستخدمها وكالة المخابرات المركزية الأميركية في شن هجمات بطائرات بلا طيار على من يشتبه في أنهم مسلحون.
