اعتبرت حركة طالبان الأفغانية قرار سحب القوات الأميركية خطوة رمزية وحذرت مما أسمته "حمام دم لا طائل منه"، في حين طلب الجيش الأفغاني مساعدته بما يحتاج من معدات خلال فترة الانسحاب.
