قالت السلطات السورية إن نحو 120 شخصا معظمهم من رجال الأمن قتلوا برصاص مسلحين الاثنين باشتباكات ببلدة جسر الشغور، وتعهدت الحكومة بالرد بحزم على أي هجمات، في حين نفى شهود عيان رواية السلطات وشيع أهالي البلدة قتلى قالوا إنهم سقطوا برصاص الأمن السوري.
