أكد وزير الدفاع الأميركي روبرت غيتس لحلفاء بلاده الآسيويين السبت أن بلاده ستحتفظ بوجود عسكري قوي بالمنطقة بالرغم من ضغوط الميزانية، كما لمح بإمكانية إجراء محادثات مع طالبان هذا الشتاء.
