قررت شركة طوكيو للطاقة الكهربائية (تيبكو) بناء صهاريج تخزين مؤقتة لمياه الصرف الصحي العالية الإشعاع في محطة فوكوشيما دايشي للطاقة النووية المتضررة. وتكافح تيبكو التي تدير المحطة لإزالة حوالي 67500 طن من المياه العالية التلوث المتراكمة بمباني توربينات المفاعل والخنادق المجاورة.
