توعد الزعيم الليبي العقيد معمر القذافي المحتجين المطالبين برحيله بالحرب حتى النهاية، وقال إنهم سيواجهون عقوبة الإعدام ، ودعا أنصاره في جميع أنحاء البلاد للخروج ومواجهة من وصفهم بالمخربين وطردهم من أوكارهم، وأكد أنه لن يغادر البلاد.
