يعتبر الكاتب أن أميركا أساءت قراءة الموقف في ليبيا ومن ثم أخطأت في التعامل معه، مؤكدا أن أوضاع ليبيا لا يمكن أن تكون أسوأ مما كانت عليه في عهد القذافي، وأن الشعب الليبي لن يتوقف حتى يستعيد حريته كاملة غير منقوصة.
