تحول ميدان التحرير في قلب العاصمة المصرية القاهرة إلى قبلة لملايين المصريين فور إعلان الرئيس حسني مبارك تخليه عن منصبه للمجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة، وكانت مشاعر الفرح طاغية بين الجميع، في حين لم يكتف كثير من الشباب بتنحي الرئيس وطالبوا بمحاكمته.
